Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport is 40 km away. Everything is great at Whispering Mountains - hospitality, great location to the park, fluent communication in English, great service and catering... I myself am native Chinese from Hunan living in the Netherlands; this time I traveled together with my native Dutch partner who doesn't speak a word of Chinese, and he can communicate without worries with staff at Whispering Mountains. On another note, I don't think much communication is needed. Lucas and his colleagues proactively arrange pick-up, walking routes in the park that perfectly dodged the crowds, breakfast and dinner... I honestly didn't expect such high level of service which matches luxury hotels in Europe in a small part of China. Even in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province, you wouldn't be able to find sth this level. I would recommend anyone who come to Zhangjiajie taking this hotel.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Camping , a property within Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Which is the best location for guests from all over the world to explore the Park . The property is inside the National forest Park and on top of the Avatar mountain, where is super easy to reach Yuanjiajie,Avatar Hallehujah Mountain,Yangjiajie ,Tianzi Mountain and Secretes Spots within the Park etc .The property will invite you to visit the sunrise and sunset when the weather is available. What was there not to like about this place! The staff are so nice, friendly, helpful, and attentive. The location is great! You are inside the park and to get there, you’ve got to travel through the park by taking a cable car and several shuttle busses. Just from the start you get to experience the magic of the park. -The room is comfortable, clean and spacious. -Since the camp is inside the park, there aren’t any convenience shops around it but the camp has a restaurant managed by chefs. They cook delicious traditional Chinese meals. We loved the tomato and egg, the stir fried vegetables and the Chinese bacon with bamboo root. Try them! -The staff helped us plan our itinerary and booked our tickets to Zhangjiajie National Forest and Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Carol contacted me and stayed in touch a week before our arrival and guided us on how to get the camp by proving us the directions in English and Chinese. The whole team were so nice. They also shared their tea with us and treated us like family. The camp is in a tea plantation, so the experience is so unique. -They’ve got lots of projects going and great ideas on how to improve this place, so it’s very exciting how this place will flourish in the next years. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Guests can make use of the picnic area or the year-round outdoor pool, or enjoy views of the mountain and pool. We had have been this hotel for 7 nights. While we were in hotel and travelled forest park or other scenic spots, every staffs supported us in many cases. First of all, when we stay in this hotel we can contact to housekeeper in charge of picking up at airport, booking tickets for park entrance and ordering breakfast and supper at any time by WECHAT. If you are not familiar to Chinese letter and language, you can ask the housekeeper to book tickets or talk to taxi driver instead of you by WECHAT in English. Every staffs are kind and supportive even though they pay taxi fare instead of me when my Alipay got stuck. This hotel is near the "southeast gate" of forest park. You can walk through southeast gate in 5 minutes and take a shuttle bus to "水绕四门" from which you can go any scenic spot by transferring other shuttle bus. If you would like to go trekking to Jinbian Stream, this hotel is in the best location.

Great walking distance for the National Forest Park. The rooms was large and clean, the staff, especially Matt was great, very helpful with arranging drivers from airport, suggesting activities and gave us an English Map for the National Park entrance.Very knowledgeable about the mountain sights!! Тhis is one of the best hotels I've been to! For this price we got a big apartment consisting of two rooms, a small dining room and a beautiful clean bathroom. Everything was modern and clean (what is not oft in China!). It is possible to wash and dry your clothes at the hotel. The hotel located 15 minutes from the entrance to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and near the main street with cafes, markets and shops. But the most important thing is the staff! An excellent girl immediately wrote out a plan for us for 3 days, with all the routes and places to visit! She gave us a map and noted everything on it, helped us buy all the necessary tickets, was always in touch and even changed money at the bank so that we didn’t waste time on it! It was just a delight!
