He guided us in his friendly way to the top of the volcano and back. He took all the time we needed and was checking everything if we were doing fine. The house is just outside the village, very quiet and great view to the volcano. And he had cold beer. We needed it.

Wifi works well, but is a phone hotspot, so it's only on on request. The bathroom has only cold water, but hot water can be prepared on request. The days are warm, but bring a sweater and warm socks as it gets cold at night. Keep in mind, the whole village had to evacuate in 2015 and they are still rebuilding. Your stay helps the whole community.

At the bed and breakfast, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. I had a wonderful stay at Pipi's. You can really tell the place is loved. The food was wonderful and genorous and the cocktail was delicious. Wifi worked well in my room and everything was clean and well organized. They helped arrange a collectivo to the caldiera and made me feel very welcomed as a solo traveler. It's very close to the airport and you can walk there in 7 mins.There is a sign on the left as you leave the parking area about 100 m. The road is basic so keep an eye out for the sign so you don't miss it.

The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

At the bed and breakfast, units have bed linen and towels. We loved our stay at EcoFunco. The funco is very cozy and the bed was very comfortable. You barely hear any noise so we had a great night sleep after our hike. The breakfast served by Isabel was delicious and very filling. The funco was spotless clean. Léa & João were super friendly and gave us a lot of tips about the hikes we could do in the area. We definitely recommend this place and would love to return one day.

Situated in Igreja in the Fogo region, Gira Lua has a terrace and sea views. With mountain views, this accommodation features a balcony. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. After the beautiful down hike from Portela we were very tired and we're welcomed with cold drinks. After that we had a very lovely paella and went to sleep in our comfortable room. We had a very good and quite 11 hours sleep. Breakfast was very tasty and enough. Beautiful location overseeing the coastline.

Treasured the breathtaking expansive black sand beach surrounded by mountains and basically having it to ourselves. Peacefulness. Roberto (and his cute dogs) are attentive hosts. He proudly provided a fine dining experience. This was a very natural experience in the outdoor bungalow, beach and tropical grounds compared to the large chain resorts that we normally stay at. Loved the very memorable two days there and great overall value.
