He guided us in his friendly way to the top of the volcano and back. He took all the time we needed and was checking everything if we were doing fine. The house is just outside the village, very quiet and great view to the volcano. And he had cold beer. We needed it.

The food was excellent. The host arranged the next-day volcano tour for us and explained a lot about the village and the island in general. Loved every minute we spent there.

The nights are so quiet and you can see endless stars for a good night sleep. Ciza cooks delicious fresh meals, a satisfying breakfast is included. Rose is a great guide up the volcano and has many other trips in store for you. Be sure to ask about the via ferrata. They can arrange your transportation from the airport or port. Wifi works well, but is a phone hotspot, so it's only on on request. The bathroom has only cold water, but hot water can be prepared on request. The days are warm, but bring a sweater and warm socks as it gets cold at night. Keep in mind, the whole village had to evacuate in 2015 and they are still rebuilding. Your stay helps the whole community.

The airport is right there so perfect place to get your rest during your Cabo Verde getaway. Pipi and her family are a true blessing and are the best hosts I've encountered in a long time. As a frequent traveler I cannot say enough about how great this place was. Pool was the perfect size to cool off. The food was amazing. Cocktails were delicious. The room was spacious and super clean. Comfy bed, large shower (hot water). I could go on and on but words aren't enough. Go there check it out for yourself you will not regret it.

They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

You barely hear any noise so we had a great night sleep after our hike. The breakfast served by Isabel was delicious and very filling. The funco was spotless clean. Léa & João were super friendly and gave us a lot of tips about the hikes we could do in the area. We definitely recommend this place and would love to return one day.

We took our time to have a deep conversation with her about life in Fogo. She made us feel like part of her family, she shared with us all Cape Verdean values. She is an incredible cook and an amazing woman who made this journey very special for us. The dinner was massive and extremely delicious, her chicken in tomato sauce and the vegetarian cabbage dish left us speechless. Yulia appears to be a respected member of Mosteiros society and people spoke very well of her, her neighbours gave us fruit for free and were happy to chat with us. If you speak Spanish and you are patient enough, Mosteiros and Yulia can offer you an unforgettable experience.

Peacefulness. Roberto (and his cute dogs) are attentive hosts. He proudly provided a fine dining experience. This was a very natural experience in the outdoor bungalow, beach and tropical grounds compared to the large chain resorts that we normally stay at. Loved the very memorable two days there and great overall value.
