The owner was waiting for us, as It is pretty far from Nairobi, but you can also fly to Masai Mara. But this is meant to experience the local life to the fullest, so it comes with everything included. Experience the 'Masai life', the owner will accommodate you with other needs, but communicate them in advance; if you want breakfast and what, he can organize your day, and he is very resourceful. Also knows some local hang-out places which are way cheaper than the traditional tourist resorts. A thing to do is to go eat with him a local national food, a grilled goat, nyama choma, eat from same plate together with by using the hands and connect with your rental manager on a different level.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Enkusero is a small boutique camp, owned and run by William who is a local Masai, a passionate host and an excellent guide with15 years of experience. He took us for tailor- made safaris and went out of his way to show us the Big Five and countless other wonderful creatures. The location was fantastic and ideally located to visit the Masai Mara reserve. Our tent was luxurious and beautifully furnished . They had wooden decks with large verandas, for us to enjoy the sight of zebras, wildebeest and gazelles that grazed and freely roamed around the camp. The camp was exclusive and intimate in character with 3-4 luxury tents, perfect for one large or two small families. The food was par excellence . Robert is a fabulous chef who delighted in serving us exquisite dishes, most beautifully presented. We were quite apprehensive of food as we are vegetarians but it seemed no trouble for the skilled chef. The team, service and hospitality was superb. We took packed breakfast on most morning game drives. They were delicious and plentiful. I would like to make a special mention of the bush dinner with camp fire and lanterns which was really spectacular. William also organised sundowner drinks and it was simply humbling watching the sunset in the vast, peaceful setting of the Mara. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the traditional village of the Masai community, which William was happy to organise. To add to all this, the money spent at the camp directly benefits the local Masai community as it provides direct employment and there are no middlemen involved. We stayed 5 nights and each day was above all our expectations. Fantastic place where to stay if you want to be in the middle of wilderness and at the same time feel safe, special and be treated like royalty. Big Thank You to William and his team for making our stay so special and memorable.

Maji Moto
Maji Moto Eco Camp is located at the foot of the little-known and spellbindingly beautiful Loita Hills. Off the beaten track, this is a perfect place to Experience real Maasai culture and African plains on foot. Great outdoors and a fun adventure for adults and kids. Your stay is inclusive of all-day guided activities like Nature walks, Warrior training, Local school visits, Wildlife tracking, Maasai homestead (Manyatta) visits, Beading, Firemaking and Campfire stories. This is an experience we won't forget! The campsite was beautiful. The facilities are not only functional and eco, they're beautifully designed. The shower and toilet with a view are not to be missed. The hot water is fetched from the natural hot springs, so it really is eco. Just don't spend too long in the shower to respect others wanting a hot shower. Our tent was spacious, and with sufficient privacy. We re-packed everything into one suitcase to avoid taking two big suitcases into the tent for the couple of nights we were there. The staff were very helpful, and explained everything in the camp well. We enjoyed all the food, the culture visits, the tours, learning about Maasai life, and the whole experience. I read in a guide book that it's 'put-on' for tourists but the majority of the staff are real Maasai although they're perhaps of the generation that is now schooled, etc. they still know a lot about their own culture and will happily answer any questions to teach you about their lifestyle.

Very good location close to the Gate of Masai Mara NP. Also you can ser hippos directly at the camp. Very kind stuff. They managed Safari Guide and visit of Masai village for us.
Good location for Maasai Mara reserve. They organised safari, hot air ballooning, Maasai village visit etc. Prices are high for what you get compared to other parts of the world but I suppose that's standard in the area and not the fault of the accommodation. We were lucky the place was available when we visited. I would stay there again but I wouldn't say its great value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful, to the best of their abilities. I think any shortcomings lie with upper management and owners who are not on-site.
All the staff were very kind and helpfull, the location has a beautiful view and all the comfort domeinen van wants in the nearby area of masai mara national park. The accomodation offers far more then accomodation itself, options are legio and the best thing is that profit’s Made by accomodating tourists Goes straight to the semadep project, so the local children are able to get quality education at the nearby village!
1. Location 2. Friendliness and promptness of staff 3. Property rooms 4. Activities were excellent - The Masai village visit, game drives, the massages and the sundowner.
We really enjoyed our stay in this camp, Magdy and the staff who are very kind and helpful, the visit to Masai village and the safaris of course. Everything was just perfect.
The location is fantastic right beside the Talek gate, our Masai village excursion and 2no. full-day game drive safaris were just perfect and great value too. Our accommodation was even kindly upgraded F.O.C. Animals frequent the campsite and the sounds at night make it such a surreal experience, we could not recommend enough. All the staff are super friendly and the dinners were delicious!
The property is a true gem in the middle of the Masai Mara area.. it’s close to the gate but the roads are very bumpy so be ready for some action… it’s also close to Masai Mara village where you can spend an hour with the locals who live there.. the cottages are clean and equipped and give you the feeling of Masai Mara adventures. The food is also nice not much of variety but acceptable.. our waiter “Samson” is very friendly and helpful and so is everyone working there.
Oseki is a beautiful camp with high-quality tents. The Masaai that work there were extremely friendly and positive. Anne and Dennis were very accommodating with activities. They arranged a safari, Masaai walk, and village visit in less than 24 hours notice.
