Above and Beyond! The hostess, Julie, is an absolute treasure. She went to a lot of effort to make sure we were well taken care of. Breakfast was delicious. After indulging in a huge full English on the first morning we were happy to also be able to switch to a delicious hot porridge with fresh fruit and toast after that. The house and room were exceptional and so much more than I'd expect for this price. It really is as luxurious as the photos suggest. More than enough parking space and the house is surrounded by lots of peaceful countryside. It's a short drive into town for some great restaurants that were recommended by the hostess. Check out the Pot Belly and Zio. Thank you Julie for making our stay so very relaxing and enjoyable.

Delicious, hearty breakfasts. Comfortable, spacious room with wardrobe, drawers, table and chair, TV with USB port (saved me when my phone charger didn’t work!), hairdryer, and exceptionally clean en-suite bathroom. Toasty warm despite cold weather; my room had its own adjustable radiator. Host struck the perfect balance between enjoyable conversation and professional discretion, as I’m sure she has struck a different – and still perfect – balance with other guests. The host graciously removed my baby-related waste each day. I had my own key to allow me to come ‘home’ any time.

A spacious and private self catering wing off the main house but with the added convenience of optional breakfast and dinner prepared by Zara, our hostess, in its’ fabulous kitchen. Little Woodbank in reality is even better than the impressive photos can portray. Arriving to a roaring fire after our journey and again after our days out exploring was a pure joy. The aperitifs and our 3 course meal on the evening of our arrival were superb, and breakfast the following morning was equally delicious. Attention to detail in the décor and furnishings created a grand but welcoming space to relax and unwind before retiring for the night in super comfortable beds. It's a great location to explore from, or to simply unwind with a book, or a stroll along the river - a natural boundary to the property. We will definitely return and enjoy the warm friendly hospitality from Zara, who couldn’t do enough for us, and her family who made our trip away a truly memorable experience.

EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION. Clean, spacious attic apartment with separate lounge and bedroom, both with tvs. Comfortable sofa bed in lounge. Easy self check in. Fully stocked kitchen, with bread, croissants, cereals, jam, juice, milk, eggs, coffee, tea etc. provided for breakfast. Cookies and crisps for tv snacking too. Clean and well kept hallway access. Room was exceptionally quiet despite being directly next to the road. Good free parking at the back of the apartment. Highly recommend.
