Nestled in a picturesque small village, Residenza La Nivera offers an oasis of tranquility far removed from bustling tourist hubs, yet conveniently close to iconic attractions like Matera. The establishment exudes an authentic charm, a harmonious blend of beauty and soul that is only surpassed by its impeccable cleanliness. What truly sets this bed & breakfast apart, however, are the extraordinarily warm and welcoming hosts. Having traveled globally for both work and leisure over many years, I can confidently say that the hospitality here is unparalleled. The morning meal felt less like a breakfast and more like an intimate celebration, highlighting the lengths to which the hosts go to ensure a memorable experience. My wife and I were so enchanted by our stay that we felt compelled to immediately write this review as a token of our immense gratitude.

Wow what an experience. The most picturesque setting, surrounded by olive groves and close to the lake. Huge rooms with big balcony. Run by a very welcoming family who made us an incredible meal all made with local produce. They only do dinner on certain days so make sure to check and book in with them. They also run cooking classes which we unfortunately missed out on but looked great. Pool area is such a bonus, lively and good fun with a great bar serving drinks and lunches. Great walking spots around and near the lake. One of the evenings we stayed they weren’t serving dinner so we went to nearby supermarket and had dinner on the balcony. You can also get into Matera that has loads of restaurants or they are happy to recommend (and book) you local nearby restaurants. Overall a must stay and an unlike any other!

Within easy reach of Matera if you have your own wheels and want to avoid the hustle of the tourist hub. Easy and safe parking on the premises. Nice, big room with a large terrace/tile garden.

The setting is very special, in the old part of town. All renovated inside feels new and clean. Well equipped kitchen. Nice view.
