Exceptional experience at Aswadduma Resort! The resort, sprawling across 50 acres, is a wildlife haven. We were amazed to spot elephants, deer, peacocks, monkeys, and giant squirrels right within the resort’s expansive land along the banks of Kandalama Lake. The staff was incredibly accommodating, offering a customized dinner as we checked in late. A delightful surprise was the horse ride they arranged for us. Overall, our stay was a perfect blend of nature, excellent service, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend Aswadduma Resort for a unique and pleasant retreat.

Bovi was caring & extremely friendly. She took care of all our needs & did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was generous & tasty. The cottage is located within 5mins drive from the Sigiriya Lion Rock site & close to many restaurants & other travel amenities (such as ATM & laundry).

We had an amazing stay at Wild haven. My friend actually liked it so much that he actually extended his time by 3 nights as well. The staff is super friendly and very helpful and attentive. My friend who is from Switzerland actually loved the kitchen the most. He enjoyed watching authentic food being made and sometimes was a part of the process as well. If you are looking for the truly Lankan authentic experience this is the place to be. We loved the tree house that we stayed as well. Everything was so neat and the nature walks and excursions were a nice touch to the experience. The nature walk actually opened our eyes a lot as well to the flora and fauna we see and hear everyday. All in all it was a wonderful experience

We will never forget our stay. Nandeni, the mom of the host, has such a big heart and a beautiful soul. She cooks very well too, we really enjoyed our dinners! We also assisted her cooking as she offers cooking classes and we were so happy we spent that moment with her. We will never forget you Nandeni! The whole family is so nice and helpful, if you stay there you won't regret it! The room was so spacious, with mosquito nets on the beds, a bathroom with hot water and the surrounding environment is lovely!

On a month long trip to Sri Lanka, filled with beautiful places and accommodations - the Cottage holds a special place in my heart. We spent two amazing days here, and later in our trip we decided to go back for 5 more. From the kindness of the staff, the excellent hospitality, the pool that was somehow always the right temperature, the location in nature and all of the life that surrounds it - we had a perfect stay. The gentleman that cares for the plants, pool and grounds works all day making sure the place looks great and the pool is always clean. The chef makes great food, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was excellent. The location is a short bike ride from town, or if you have your own tuktuk as we did it’s about a 5 minute ride. It’s in the midst of the jungle. In our days there we had encounters with every type of bird in Sri Lanka. Monkeys of all varieties. Even Elephants. The near by lake, which you will drive by the signed path to, is a must at sunrise. Walking further down the road into the farmers fields (stay on the road, don’t walk on their crops) will yield incredible sunsets with peacocks calling in the background and a clear view of lions rock. Bungalows are simple, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. We will most certainly return here in the future and highly recommend it to others. There is more to see in Sigiriya than you think, and a couple of days at the cottage is a great base to explore and relax. Mama, the local dog running around is very sweet. If you’re a dog loving traveler as I am - take care of her and show her some love. She’ll keep the monkeys off your tuktuk 😉

Very nice and helpful owners. Great location - 10 minutes from the main road on a scooter in the middle of nature with a nice view of Sigiriya. Communicative owners. Amazing food - we had homemade breakfasts and dinners and it was the best food we had in Sri Lanka.
