The hotel is located on the south coast of the island, in the village of Makunduci. It has a private beach, outdoor pool, spa and restaurant. It is very elegant, tastefully decorated and in a great quiet location. Due to its location, it offers impressive views of the ocean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and the room is clean and comfortable. I also appreciate the rich and tasty prepared dishes.

Nest Style Beach is a beautiful hotel! The rooms are well designed, lots of spaces in the premises to relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the meals are also great!. I would definitely recommend.

My time at Almas was absolutely exceptional and, honestly, my favourite stay during my travels in Zanzibar! Firstly, the staff were wonderful. Aleks, the owner, went above and beyond to make my stay as relaxing as possible (I really needed it after the frenetic energy in Paje). The staff were friendly and attentive, service was quick, the food was delicious and portions were generous. Secondly, location location location! Although Almas doesn’t have a private beach, it might as well be because it’s so so quiet and (the best part!) there are no beach boys trying to sell you anything. I actually liked that it wasn’t private because you see the locals harvesting the ocean during low tide, which I personally found fascinating. Finally, the facilities are stunning and the architecture and design clearly celebrates the natural landscape and local resources. I loved spending time in the pool, relaxing on the loungers overlooking the Indian Ocean, and the hot shower was FABULOUS! There’s so much more I could say, but it’s probably best summed up by the fact that my stay felt too short and I will absolutely be returning to Almas on my next trip to Zanzibar. Tafauti Inn is the perfect home away from home. Lovely garden, perfect pool and a staff that becomes family. Whith 3 minutes walk to the Indian ocean a bit away from the busy tourist areas this is an oasis of tranquility, peace and relaxation. I have been to Zanzibar many times and I am coming back in February and Tafauti is definitely my choice. Unmissable!

I travelled with my kids and to be honest this place did not feel like a lodge or hotel, it felt like home away from home. Everyone from the owners Eric and Sophie to all the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. They made it so hard for us to leave. We really enjoyed our vacation and we will for sure go back there. Thank you to all of the Lodges staff and a big thank you to Eric and Sophie for make our trip a memorable one. We will always remember this holiday.
