Everything !!! An excellent welcome from the host - very helpful with planning our few days. The lodge was superb - clean, bright, comfortable with a lovely terrace area overlooking the wonderful garden. The best part .... wildlife - throughout the day the birdlife was prolific and at dawn and dusk kangaroos everywhre right in front of you - up to 20 of them as friendly as anything. It was like being on your own private Australian safari. A very very special place.

great location, very short walk from the town & with great verandas front & back for Mountain Views, & with plenty of kangaroos & other wildlife to see. nice living area & decent, if slightly cramped, bedrooms - one big bathroom (although unfortunately spa bath not working), en suite was adequate but a bit small.

Homely and clean. A very good location close to the town shops, but also very quiet and peaceful. Easy parking outside the door. Our room was comfortable with air con, fridge, kettle and hot drinks. Basic toiletries. Separate seating area and outside shady seats under veranda. The best part of this stay was the wildlife that came to the garden. We loved seeing the Kookaburras, cockatoos, wild parrots and the family of kangaroos. All very close. Wonderful!

The owner was super helpful and had lots of detailed information about the area for hikes, spots worth seeing, places to eat and distances from everything. The wildlife right at the front door step of the property was amazing. There was plenty of kangaroos and cockatoos by the pond at sunset. The property was clean, tidy and the spa bath was great! Washing machines at no cost with detergent provided.

It was a cabin sufficient for us to have our luggage open and walk around, and definitely bigger than expected. You are surrounded by wildlife such as birds, and at dusk the kangaroos come to visit. There were also sufficient items provided for your stay. The birds were a tad noisy in the mornings but I mean, you’re in the wilderness am I right? Great place for nature lovers!

Friendly, considerate hosts who provided excellent local information. Immaculately presented gardens and facilities. Spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean room that was very thoughtfully presented. Stunning views of the mountains and beautiful native gardens that attracted a variety of wildlife. Comfortable outdoor furniture to sit on the verandah and enjoy the peace and views. Quiet yet a short stroll into the heart of Halls Gap and the start of many walking trails. Perfection! We can't wait to return.

Amazing views of the plains and mountain range from your front verandah, native Wallabies and Emus feeding at sunrise and sunset directly in front and around the very spacious property. Amazing Wildlife and Bird life. Warm and cosy open fire.
