    Quiet area, nice walk up to the summit across the road, big field with shower facilities. Small farm shop down the road but no other shops in walking distance. If your looking for a quiet retreat then this is the one, lovely to see some wildlife and get some real peace and quiet.

    Beautiful filed at once of the highest points in Cornwall. It's good value for money for the location. The facilities were great for a field too. It was nice to wake up and have a hot shower before leaving.

    Location a little out of the way, however that was exactly what we wanted. Boathouse was clean and well equipped, full kitchen with apliances. Grounds/Lakes were well looked after tidy and grass cut. Wildlife was plentiful, great for bat watching in the evenings, also amazing night sky from the balcony.

    The boathouse has everything you need for a relaxing self contained holiday. You can sit on the balcony watching the wildlife on the pond and just relax. This We love it here, it is our 2nd visit and cant wait for our 3rd.

    The setting of the boathouse overlooks a large pond. well maintained with lots of wildlife interest. Quiet, set in from the main road. Full facilities expected and the ability to come and go at our leisure.

    Large comfortable accommodation, the location was outstanding, sat watching the local wildlife on the ponds was very relaxing. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Nice stroll around the ponds after our evening meal was very welcome. We would and have recommended. We will be back.

    The property is so stunning. The lakes, the wildlife and the rooms are all lovely. Kay was super friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. She let us use tools to have a bbq one night. Breakfast was so tasty! The dog loved her stay here too.

    The cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The cottage was lovely and warm (all the time!), and felt welcoming when we arrived back from a day out. The location was extremely peaceful and we really enjoyed walking around the lakes at sunset. The view from the upstairs sitting room was absolutely stunning, and made us feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. We had an absolutely fantastic break and would go back and stay at Polhilsa again in a heartbeat.
