The cottages were spectacular! The staff were attentive and nothing was too much effort. Sipho the ranger was knowledgeable and found Lion, Cheetah, elephant and a host of other wildlife on all the drives!

I had a lovely one-night stay at the Umkhaya lodge accommodation. Our hosts Gilda and Theo were welcoming, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Communication was good, and they even managed to arrange a fantastic game drive for us. The lodge itself was a haven of comfort amidst the wilderness, with spacious and clean accommodations. The breathtaking surroundings added to the serene atmosphere. I highly recommend Umkhaya lodge for a tranquil retreat and an incredible wildlife experience.

I loved the verandah with the chairs. I also love the lighting in the trees. That jetti is something else as well.

Check in, Mountain View Room on upper floor (more view of lovely gardens than mountain to be fair due to trees) , sunrise and sunset at the jetty very special. Very good buffet style breakfast and dinner, excellent choice quality and value. Service throughout to a high standard. Special thanks to Jean on Safari desk who was a font of knowledge.

It was the small details for me, the welcome letter, welcoming drinks and after the game drive they meet you with cold and smelling nice towel. Their dinner was out of this world from starter to desert and the romantic setting. The drinks prices are very affordable. It's so peaceful, it's a hidden gem.

We stayed 3 nights in an amazing and immaculous villa, which was perfectly equipped. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Suzette took very good care of us. We saw loads of wildlife, just missed the 🐆. Tim and Basil shared their enormous knowledge with us. Thanks for your so much appreciated effort. It was a unique and wonderful experience. P.S. bring enough drinks, since you can take them along on the safari trips (chilled!).
