I love the designs in the whole place, from the common area, the garden to the tent and its interior. It is a project designed by the owner and his daughter, who are both architects. The hotel is small and quiet, with less than 10 rooms, but has all the facilities - a gym, a yoga place, swimming pool, breakfast, hot tub and access to a small river.

The space in and around the dome was huge, and the whole place has a very 'in the jungle' vibe. Privacy in the majority of the space was great, which is always helpful when the shower is outside! It was a little hard to find on arrival, but once found the location was great - it was nice and secluded and away from any main road noise.

We had three generations traveling together, so we filled all three tents. The setting was gorgeous and it offered a truly unique experience. It rained quite a bit, but that’s to be expected in a rainforest. If you’re prepared for it, it’s awesome. Glamping probably isn’t for everyone, but we loved it. The area offers loads of nature related things to do and we found pretty good restaurants nearby. We had little kids with us and could do the atv tour, but wish we would have figured out a way to do it in shifts.

Friendly staff, tent is nicely in the nature. Beautiful surroundings with trees, bushes and streams. We also saw tucans, hummingbirds and parrots at the breakfast.

Restaurant plays jazz, the menu is inspired (homemade passion fruit jam and house hot sauce made from charred, peeled chilies) and the toucans crunch on bananas while you eat your eggs benedict and enjoy fresh pour over coffee. The property has been in the family from before the road or electricity. Bring a jacket for when the clouds come rolling in. When the sun shines you can see Arenal volcano.
