We stayed here for 2 nights before starting our trip through Sumatra. The location is a bit outside the city. So it’s a nice and calm get away from the town but it takes 30-40 minutes to get to Medan city. The bungalows were really nice and clean with air condition and a nice view on the lake from the veranda. The staff was really caring and friendly. Also the food in the restaurant was delicious.

The views were wonderful as was the balcony hammock and four poster bed.

Thomas and his team are just awesome! They organized a fantastic trek through the Jungle! Erwin our guide has a great knowledge and respect for wildlife. Plus a fantastic humor! We felt safe all the time, though there were adventures every day! Stay for a 3 day, 2 nights trip with them in the jungle.

Great service from the lady who runs the hotel, beautiful views, large spacious room with big bed and a good hot shower. The room was really nicely designed and the place is just a short walk from restaurants etc.

The location is beautiful. You’ll have the wildlife right outside of your doorstep, I saw so many different monkeys. I had a view of the jungle and the river from my porch, absolutely amazing! The staff is AMAZING. They were so helpful and nice. They really spread a good vibe. The rooms are gorgeous as well as the property.

Room was really spacious and pretty. Lovely balcony overlooking the lake and rice paddies (my photo doesn’t do it justice). Everything very clean, nice bathroom and bed with modern mosquito net. Also loved having a kettle in the room and free water refills downstairs. Also the owner was really lovely and helpful! We could request breakfast, tea or coffee and she would bring it up to our room once it was ready. Overall a really lovely lady who was happy to help with anything you asked! Also helped organise our driver back to Medan :)

This place is an amazing getaway, one can stay there for a few days and relax. The staff is very friendly, funny and caring. I loved being there, I felt very welcome. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The beds were comfortable, there was no mosquito net, but there are really few mosquitos anyway. It was nice to sit in a hammock or on a sunlounger by the river and just chill out, read a book and enjoy the view.

This is a lovely new property which have nice large balconies off all their rooms with fabulous views of Lake Toba and great sunset views.It is spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom and hot showers.Great value with breakfast included with lovely helpful owners.

Cecila was a great host from start to finish. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom which had a hot shower. I did a great cooking class with Cecila where we made some of the best food I’ve had in Indonesia. I also had one of her breakfasts which consisted of delicious homemade bread, eggs, fruit and tea. Cecila also took the time to recite her recipes from the cooking class so I could take note of them for future.

Everything about Toba sunset was just great, the room was so large and comfy with a mosquito net around the bed. There was a kettle and coffee. The bathroom was really lovely with a walk in hot shower placed so that the whole bathroom didn't get wet and then there was a huge balcony looking out over the lake. The owner is very helpful, she organised bike hire for me, did some laundry and also dropped me back the jetty free of charge on the day I left, even though I needed to be there at 07.40.
