These were brilliant simple but modern rooms. Spacious with air conditioning. We had x2 triple rooms next to each other on the first floor so we had a wonderful veranda where we could look out to the trees. The grounds are beautiful with tropical plants and a stream. The pool is a nice size and seems new. The playground was a nice touch too. We stayed one night with a 5 and 7 year old, after doing a great safari at 3/6pm. We visited the elephant orphanage the next morning. You could stay x2 nights probably but one worked for us.

We stayed in a luxury tent which was fantastic value for money! The outdoor bathroom was fabulous. We overlooked the pool and it was a lovely walk to the restaurant. We took the 6 hours safari with Lasa, he was fantastic! He explained so much wildlife and took time to find more animals for us. The food provided was great too, eating by the lake was beautiful.

Brand new little and so beautiful lodges in a garden full of palm and banana trees. A balcony out of wood and a hammock to relax in the garden. The room has a mosquito net and the shower is a waterfall. Such a nice host, good communication, good food and service. He organized a safari with a skilled, nice and friendly driver. He took care of the tickets and everything, great al inclusive package . We saw so many beautiful animals and they even arranged a breakfast for us at a nice place in the national park.

Very animal-friendly hotel. Price-performance ratio was fantastic (luxury tent). We booked the safari through the accommodation and were very satisfied. The guide took care of the animals and environment. If many jeeps were standing in front of an animal our driver started to leave and explained to use why he is doing that. We really enjoyed the safari and recommend to book it via this accommodation! Mosquito net was available and necessary.

It was an exceptional experience in the wilderness. To begin with the climate was ideal for my glamping stay. The serenity of the location along with a lake to spot wildlife in the visinity was fabulous. The large tents with clean attached bathrooms, and a living area inbuilt was a plus. Enjoyed the nature walk and the safari was exceptional with the very experienced guides. Furthermore the dinner ambience made me feel special sarounded by lanterns and a bonfire. Next time I surly visit the place with my family and highly recommend it to all.

Great pool, and the luxury tents gave us a great feel of Jungle living! Great wildlife around and sounds!

value is exceptional. So cheap and you get so much. the tents - which I think should be called huts - are really comfortable and spacious. aircon is strong and we would definitely stay again. toilet is outside, which is novel but does grow old. Still a good experience though as it’s private. the hotel sort your safari for you too - so it’s all on one bill. Simple. great pool and lots of wildlife around

We got a free upgrade because of a large group being in the luxury tents part of the property, We stayed in the Poolside bungalows which was very comfortable. The swimming-pool was very nice and the breakfast was good. Thw Udawalawe Safari organised by the hotel was SUPERB !! We did the full day tour and breakfast and lunch were included and tasty.
