A truly exceptional place. Shearers quarters from 1900 given modern update but without losing any of the character. Crisp linen on really comfortable beds in absolute quiet. The drive there along a gravel road give the best views of Mt Cook that you will see. Kitchen modern and stocked like home Lovely meeting Alana and hearing about life on the farm and bringing up a family.. Wonderful.. Not to be missed.

The kitchette is well supplied with basic cooking needs. It was cold while we were there and the unit was very warm . Just around the corner of the unit and still on Mistake drive is a small walking track up to the top of Cowans Hill - which gives a great view of the lake and surrounding mountains.
