All that being said, the thing I loved most of all was the owners' dog, who gave the most lovely welcome and came to say good morning to us on both days we stayed here. Really loved the place. Three top tips from us - visit the Gaol (jail) at nearby wicklow. Then the walks from Glendalough visitor centre were stunning (worth doing the longer but slightly more challenging walk there). Finally the tree top walk and slide at Avondale was class.
