Just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station, The Millennials Kyoto offers capsule units with modern decor. The property offers free WiFi in all areas and for an additional cost, bicycle rentals are available.

Location: Good Staff: Great, welcoming, and nice. Dorm: Privacy greatly ensured, spacious, ipod equipped to lay the bed/turn on or turn of the light. The corridor was clean, tidy, and quiet as well and this is something that I really appreciate. Bonus: The thing that I loved the most is that there's an area for people working with their laptops and I find this extremely useful. This is the first time I've ever seen this kind of thing in a hostel. The price deserves it

Incredible value for money with a cozy spa as well as breakfast and dinner included in price. Very friendly staff with an English speaking attendant being available most of the time. Didn't really matter though, the Japanese speaking staff are very service minded and did their utmost to accommodate my JLPT 5 English!

Love that they have bunkbed and separate single bed in one room. Perfect location since it’s super near to Ninenzaka, kimono rental shop, and the bus stop. There’s also some restaurants nearby too.

Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

Safe and cosy hostel, shared room with privacy curtains around bunk beds. Downstairs common area is really lovely and nice place to cook a simple meal, chill out and do some work. Chilo and Nico the Pomeranians were so friendly and amazingly fluffy, the owner was happy to let them come and meet us whenever we were there. Good location close to bus stops and Nijo station, would like to come stay again!

Loved the hotel. Location was really convenient for Kyoto Station. Had dinner the first night in the restaurant and thought quality and value for money was really good. Staff were friendly and helpful with much better English than my Japanese. Loved the communal area, which was in use even during the rain. The fire pit was a lovely touch. They have a public bath on site and didn't blink at a single tattoo, though more ink may pose a concern. Would happily go back the next time we're in Kyoto.

Excellent location. Convenient for Shinkansen, subway, trains, buses, shopping centres. Friendly staff. Room was ok size - most Japanese hotel rooms are small so this triple room was fine for us.

We felt very privileged to be able to stay in this beautiful, traditional Japanese house. The house is conveniently located but far enough away from the very busy tourist areas that it was quiet at night and offered the chance to explore some traditional streets without all the crowds. The house is comfortable and well-equipped and Akemi was a very friendly and helpful host who provided lots of information and recommendations both before and during our stay.

I loved the minimalist modern interior which seemed quite new. The staff was polite and helpful. Also I liked the fact that there weren't capsule pods or bunk beds. Individual rooms were small but very functional and clean with a washing basin in each room. It would have been a perfect location if I am just visiting Kitano Tenmagu or Daitokuji temple. The breakfast was bit pricey but delicious! I would recommend this place for others.

Everything. It’s very close hankyu-Kyoto line, very close to shopping and restaurants area.I honestly didn’t expect much seeing as this is only a capsule hotel. But the area is clean, the staff are friendly, there are wide variety of free amenities. And the breakfast was free. Truly represented a true Japanese hospitality

This was my first time in a capsule hotel and a first time in a female-only one at the same time :) I loved the stay - everything was super convenient, all possible amenities provided (you get pajamas, shoes, face masks etc.). Kitchen has even matcha set and coffee hand grinders ;) Cabins were surprisingly quiet
