This capsule hotel was the first place we stayed in Tokyo for two nights. The sleeping pods are well designed, with a pull down screen, comfortable bedding, convenient and thoughtful areas to put your items and clothing. The lockers were sizeable, able to fit big suitcases. The room itself had multiple toilets, never had to wait for them despite a full room. The shower and onsen facilities were wonderful and convenient to use, also open all night so you can usually be by yourself if you wanted to! Breakfast was convenient, and tasty.
Convenient no frills capsule hotel in Shinjuku. Close to metro, very comfortable mattress and pillow. The sleep area is quiet as packing and showers are on another floor altogether. Japanese toilet on every floor
Well placed, clean and comfortable. Staff were great. My family wanted to experience a Japanese capsule hotel and this didn’t disappoint!
Very conveniently located near Shibuya. It was my first experience with a capsule hotel and I was very happy with it. The capsules feel private. It's very quiet in there. There are small lockers for each person which can fit a carry on bag and shoes. Bathrooms and facilities were very clean. Showers were always free and available when I used them. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel provided. I felt really safe there. Staff were friendly and check in and out were very easy.
Convenient location, modern and clean capsule hotel with good separation of genders by floor. I felt safe and comfortable, the staff was very kind and helpful, and the other guests were friendly, polite and quiet. I would definitely stay again.
Quick 5min walk to Ikebukuro station, Donqui, and multiple convenient stores! Excellent clean & spacious room with full Japanese-style bathroom and separate toilet room (great for travelling in a group). Staff were friendly and amenities were great - coin laundry and vending machine in the building. Would happily choose Mimaru again!
Very close to Hamamatsucho station, it's convenient if you arriving or going to Haneda airport. Modern building and modern facilities. Genuine futuristic capsule hotel that is quite a Japanese experience! I appreciated that the lockers for luggages are not in the room, so that noise is kept to a minimum where people sleep. Complimentary towels and pijamas. The bed was comfortable (except the pillow that was extremely hard). Many showers, many basins and many toilets available.
In center of Asakusa which is very convenient for tourism. The facility was very new & clean, the staff was friendly, nice lounge where we can enjoy free coffee/tea. The bed was spacious and comfortable to sleep. Much better than standard capsule hotel.
Check in and check out quick and easy. The staff was very friendly. Coffe and tea at the reception were free until 10am and in the evening. 7/11 and subway station were just 2 minutes away. We loved the japanese breakfast served at the Nakau in front of the hotel. It was also very convenient that this small restaurant was open until very late, the food was delicious and cheap. One could order from a screen at the entry, there were pictures of dishes and brief descriptions in English.
1. No daily check out when staying more than one night = can stay and leave belongings in the capsule 2. Clean and modern facilities 3. Private shower rooms (some Japanese capsule hotels only have public bath that everyone goes in naked) 4. Bathrooms and lockers are conveniently located on the same floor near all the capsules (some capsule hotels have them on separate floors) 5. Friendly fellow foreign travelers 6. Near a train station (but a small one so not that may train lines pass)
