Pretty property. It’s about fifteen minutes from town and about ten minutes from cell service. Blackwood has lots of glowworms directly behind the house, which was really special. There are lots of parrots who visit for birdseed and a possum who cleaned up the leftovers.

I gad been driving for 8 hrs that day and was shocked to know our reservation wasn't received but relieved by the wonderful staff that made me feel at ease. Great location, you can walk into town or across the road to the beach. The cabin was clean and comfortable, loved the deck. Being in the Big4 caravan park, you have access to everything. We stayed in 'Sheok' which is the only free-standing cabin, secluded and private. The fireplace was nice, particulary as we stayed during winter. Reverse cycle conditioner worked well as a heater but there also was a very nice fireplace that made our stay even more cosy over 3 cool nights and kept the whole cabin heated 🙂 Not far from Apollo Bay with supermarket and lots of dining options and yet very separate, private and peaceful. Exactly what we wanted for the long weekend. Hope we'll be back again soon!
