Lovely home that has everything you need. Very friendly host and we were welcomed with home made cake. Really enjoyed our stay at Elisa. Good place for our dog as well. Definitely recommended!

We loved that the chalet feels like home. While some people may find that the fittings need updating, it's got that 'grandma's chalet' charm, which we absolutely loved. Not only that, the major plus for me was that the bathroom has a bath, which is a godsend after a long day of hiking or skiing, and a rare find these days! I'd rather that than a swish new shower any day! Saying that, there is a shower in the downstairs bathroom, too. The kitchen, again, is dated; but it's fully equipped with everything you could need and is great. The fireplace is fantastic and is a cassette with a ventilator. It works really well and heats up quickly. There is a big wood reserve outside and a place to chop down in the garage if you want to make the logs smaller. The bedrooms are big and there is a ton of room. Location is fab. Supermarkets and restaurants within 15 mins drive. La Bresse-Hohneck is also a 15 min drive. Thumbs up! There are only 2 cons that I can think of, and neither were an issue for us: - there is no option to rent sheets or towels (cushions and duvets are there, however) This wasn't an issue for us as we came from home, but if you are short on space or caught unawares, it could be an issue. -there is no WiFi, which, again, for us, was no problem. It was lovely not to have everyone looking at screens all the time lol. But again, it's something to factor in. I would definitely recommend staying here. The host was very friendly and was quick to answer my many messages.
