Beautifully situated holiday house, just a short (10 min) drive from Cardiff. The hot tub was a major plus - it was lovely to take a dip after a day exploring the countryside. However, it was our hosts that made the place truly exceptional. They were so kind, letting our kids help feed the sheep and see some newly born lambs. Such precious memories!

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Rural location - no road or traffic noise (just resident wildlife!), cosy interior, well equipped with forethought like fresh dairy products provided, and a coffee machine which was a lovely surprise. Logs provided for log burner, owner was friendly and helpful on arrival, can’t fault the price, location, and amenities provided. We’re very likely to book again in the summer and take our dog this time to take advantage of the large paddock that the hut is situated in!

The hut itself was lovely, shower was great and the bed was super comfy. Hosts seem nice but didn’t meet them or have much contact.

I stay in Cardiff often, usually in budget hotels. This time I decided a bit more comfort was in order-a nice meal, maybe even breakfast. Restaurant shut-no warning at time of booking or since. Breakfast only operating one hour after advertised time, which didn't suit. A couple of other minor niggles, which all rather spoiled the experience, so back to budget next time.

Nice location. Wasn’t the cleanest. Marks on the glasses/mugs. Disturbed throughout the night as every time doors shut the whole room would shake.

I stayed for 2 nights, the ship cabin sized room could have made better use of the available space but as a place to sleep and shower it was perfectly adequate. The TV did not have closed captions which is below the expected standard in an inclusive society. There were also long brown hairs in the bathroom that were not mine. Staff at the desk were lovely and did their best to assist.
