The location was excellent with a beautiful view of the lake. The hosts were very helpful, even though we arrived late they organised for a guide, Norman, to meet us and take us up the mountain the next day. We could not have asked for a better guide, he was funny, energetic and kind. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, it was very clean and private and the food was good. The hot spring bath was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

The way leading up to the cottages is in fact a bit bumpy but the negative reviews are way out of line. We had our trek to the Mount Batur organised by the host for a good price, he was very nice, definately would recommend! The price is unbeatable, if you want to see the sunrise from the mountain this is the perfect spot!!! We didn’t have to wake up at 2, only 3:30, it is right next to the mountain. We booked a hike to mount Batur, got a reasonable price and the best guide Putra. He took us to the best places on mount Batur, made a great breakfast for us and the best pictures!
