All accommodation at Totara Lodge Upper Hutt includes a mini refrigerator and en suite bathroom with hairdryer and shower. Studios and apartments with cable TV and kitchenette facilities are available.

Modern, clean looking room. I really like the upper floor. Bed was very comfy. Shower was great, good water pressure and the showerhead was at a good height (at most of my stays elsewhere they are always too low, made for midgets).

Situated in Upper Hutt in the Wellington region, Incline Cottage offers accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen and a private garden. It is located next to the Rimutaka Cycle Trail. Free WiFi is available.

Wonderful little place. Beautiful setting. Sufficiently close to Upper Hutt but far enough to feel in the countryside. Warm, cosy and fully kitted out.

With mountain and garden views from the private verandah, Aston Norwood Chalets features one-bedroom accommodation with a separate kitchen, lounge and dining area.

Guests can enjoy the local Kaitoke Regional Park and Rivendell site (from scenes in Lord of the Rings movie) and access to the Remutaka bike trail. Aston Norwood Chalets is a 30-minute drive from central Wellington as well as the Martinborough winery district.

Location was perfect for Kaitoke Regional Park and the Rivendale filming locations on our own. This was one of my favorite stops on both islands. Clean, large space, private. Breakfast at the cafe and gardens were amazing.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Restaurant breakfast served and cooked to a high standard. The chalet was spacious and very warm and cozy with the hit pump running, homely furnishings including a kitchen and washing machine. The chalet had a terrace overlooking the slopes of the hills and a garden below, which was a masterpiece of landscape design. Convenient car location behind the chalet.

A favourite place of ours to stay when coming to Upper Hutt. Its centrally located in beautiful surroundings. Rooms are large with plenty of seating available. Rooms now have air conditioning and bathroom modernised. Loved watching the bunnies running around on the lawn at night.

We didn't eat at the cafe. Chalets were nice and roomy. Staff were very helpful giving us a small amount of oil and salt and pepper. Nice having a bath. One of the staff members a tallish guy who was wearing a hi-viz vest in the grounds and who turned on the lighting at night was extremely friendly and helpful.

The chalet overlooked the beautiful garden. The decor in each of the chalets was a theme. Ours was cherry blossom and hence pink with various appropriate furnishings.
