Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

The chalet is very comfortable and welcoming. There’s not necessarily a lot of space, but there are different spaces that invite to different types of activities. That Terasse, in front of the chalet has a beautiful view, but even if it’s raining outside, she won’t regret having to spend the time inside. The vet is super comfortable and the breakfast is terrific. Communication with a property over the chat works perfectly.

This was my favourite of the four places we stayed in Madeira. It was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The heating was effective (it was January). Breakfast was delivered to the chalet every morning and was always a pleasant surprise. The staff we met were polite and happy. We watched the sun set every evening!

Wooden huts are novel yet comfortable. Nice location to be able to view the sunset. Nice layout / construction. We arrived early (11AM) wanting to drop our bags off but were able to get in the room for 11.30 as soon as the cleaner had finished which allowed us to leave our bags. The seating hill, while windy, was a good spot to view the sunset from. It was REALLY windy while we were there but the wind died out after sunset so we were able to chill and see the hundreds of stars that were out.

The breakfast was amazing. The location was beautiful but very remote ( Which was what we wanted). The chalet was very comfortable- loved the netflix as there isn't a lot else to do after dark.

The calm huts are very well located and the pool is really nice, but weather didn't allow us to try it, as it was simply to cold and wind was blowing exteme. It was (except of the wind and some dogs barking) very calm and we like that. If you prefere more touristic options then you should go near Funchal. Restaurants are not really close by, but nature is more important for us anyway. Cleaning women were very nice and each day everything was cleaned fine. The fresh breakfast was very good and ecofriendly served - like that!
