Shooting Star Boutique Hotel is located at the beach in Kiwengwa. Surrounded by tropical gardens with stunning views across the Indian Ocean, the lodge features an outdoor pool and spa.

Zanzibar International Airport is a 45-minute drive away and airport shuttles can be arranged for a surcharge.

Staying is this hotel was beautiful experience - hotel is located at the very end of beach and gives an escape from bysy Kiwengwa beach. You can relax at hotel and have some fun at the beach - best of both. Infinity pool and view from it was best feature - no other hotel in Zanzibar has view like Shooting Star. Breakfast was good, staff was very welcoming and helpful. If you want peaceful stay, beautiful views and still be close to activities and local restaurants - this is the best hotel. One additional recommendation - when staying at this hotel - have dinner/lunch at Amour restaurant nearby - you will not regret it.

Loved the stay, Mody/ Mohammad was super helpful and nice to us. Probably the warmest welcome so far in Zanzibar and also super super proactive and helpful and just so good to us. So big thank you to Mohammad. Also super clean rooms , very clean common areas. Good view from the top floor resturant. And short walk to a quiet beach. Value for money. Very comfortable.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

A lush resort, loved the greenery and the flowers. Comfy beds and spacious rooms. They provide a shuttle bus between the resort and south Kiwengwa Beach. As the resort does not have any beach this was much appreciated. To be fair, worth the price you pay.

The restaurant and bar area are clearly the winners for this hotel. The wooden platform that juts out into the water is the ideal place to enjoy a drink, snack and a meal. It really is the primary character of the hotel and is rightfully focused on in their pictures.

Great staff and wonderful beach access from Kairo village. You will feel the friendliness of the people of Zanzibar. An enchanting village and the way of life of seaweed farmers a few steps from your accommodation. The room is spacious with wooden furniture. A special thank you for the unforgettable birthday you are doing. It was a surprise and so nice. For all the memories it was perfect +++

book the other resort. it’s cheaper and they both share all facilities. the food is better is the resort next door. this one is more expensive and i can’t work out why. the huts are nice but I don’t think it’s worth it tbh.

We liked everything about this accommodation. They were all so lovely and welcoming, that we really enjoyed staying here. The food in the restaurant was excellent, there is no need going somewhere else. The room was outstanding clean and comfortable. They also offer shuttles, which were price wise also in a good range. We can just recommend White Dream in every aspect.

Meshack(front office associate) was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. My parents checked in one night before me and weren't happy with their room but Meshack was very kind and upgraded them free of charge. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very big bathroom and TV and fridge with tea/coffee available. We had a nice small private pool with a beautiful view. The main pool was also great. Good shuttle service to the beach and town. Each villa also has a lovely roof.
