It looks better than the photos. It is a home away from home. You really feel you can just relax as you would in your own place and leave your belongings all over without a hint of worry. Joyce is something else, one rarely meets people like her in the world, such an inspiration, and her evening stories kept everyone entertained and enlightened (guests eat together at night and it was lovely meeting people from France, Holland, Japan and America and discussing life. Two families that were there, were returning guests which is probably the best advertisement one can have for a place. She went over board in accommodating food requests for everyone , and often changed the set menu to accommodate teenage dietary requirements. The house has a bohemian feel to it and we sat in different nooks and corners all the time just watching the world go by. We went from here on our snorkeling trip from here which was perfect as they all depart 20 mins from this guesthouse (others had travelled for a LOT longer to get there). Joyce's dogs are very much part of the establishment which we loved, being an animal family.

Loved the stay, Mody/ Mohammad was super helpful and nice to us. Probably the warmest welcome so far in Zanzibar and also super super proactive and helpful and just so good to us. So big thank you to Mohammad. Also super clean rooms , very clean common areas. Good view from the top floor resturant. And short walk to a quiet beach. Value for money. Very comfortable.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

We enjoyed our stay at haber very much. The room and facilities are very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really good. We didn't have dinner but we assume the food from the dinner menu is just as good. The staff and manager Anna are very nice and helpful. We were allowed to check in early and leave late at no extra cost and they helped us arrange a transfer for a fair price. They have free bikes to use and offer a free shuttle to the beach at 10am and returning at 2pm. Definitely recommended.

Rooms clean, food great, staff very kind and friendly. It is possible to relax in the pool or reach the beach by walk (around 10 minutes) or by shuttle provided by the hotel. We only visited the near beach by walk.

An absolute dream of a hotel. I loved everything about it, the calming ambience, lovely staff, free activities such as local guided walks and kayaking, excellent food, perfect and beautiful location - stepping out of our little hut straight onto the beach was so special. I felt so at peace here and would love to return.

The location was perfect for our stay. Calm and quiet. We had a beach front hut and lay on our beach beds each morning and behind our accommodation was the pool, so we had the best of both worlds. The sea breeze was amazingly cooling. The staff were super friendly and the management excellent. Each Tuesday and Friday there were live jazz/afrobeat bands playing, which had almost everyone up dancing. Loved the vibes. Definitely the best place to stay in this location. All in all, an amazing stay.

Everybody was super friendly, an exceptional cabin was provided without extra costs, the beach is amazing! Honestly the days spent there were fantastic, specially because i had a broken toe and didn't feel any downside during my stance there! The snorkel activity was beautiful, as someone from the Caribbean , it felt like home!
