Our experience at the Mkeka Spice has been unbeatable: well located a few minutes from the beach, comfortable and spacious rooms, but best of all the attention and kindness that Lucky has had with us, helping us in everything and giving us the best recommendations. Not forgetting the abundant breakfasts prepared by Haroun. Thank you for everything!

At Kacho House we felt at home because of the great, skilled and kind host "Luka"..we were been very well welcomed by "Luka" and he made our journey wonderful. Luka was always here to help and to assist us for our activities, taxi, even delivery of fresh fish to home....etc. He made us enjoying more our stay and made us happier. The location is also good, only 1 min from the beach and you feel you are living in the middle of the nature. This is really a good value for what you pay. Thank you Luka.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Perfect place to stay. European standarts are not often found on the coast but the place has exceeded the expectations for the price paid. Rooms were clean, staff was super friendly. There were quite a few offers for tours arround Zanzibar which was not overpriced. Hotel has also provided airport shuttle service which was comfortable.

Great hotel in a great location on Paje beach. Staff are brilliant. We stayed in a Beach Hut room which was basic but had everything that you would want. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Breakfast was great and included.

Very cute huts to stay in, bed was comfortable however no air con and the fan in the room barely moved. Unable to stay for expected length of stay due to the heat and no working fan. Staff very helpful and friendly. BBQ night great value for money and very easy to get chatting to others staying there. If fan was working and room was a little cooler at night, could have definitely stayed longer.

It has a very chilled vibe and the chalets and gardens are lovely. Having your own deck to chill on is an added advantage and we saw red colobus monkeys roaming around in the trees on the property. Staff were really helpful. Lots of restaurants and cafes

We were in 5 hotels in Zanzibar, and this one was the best! The site is gorgeous and the staff was friendly. Yes, you can say that the bathrooms can be renovated, but this rustic vibe (e.g. wooden shutters on windows, padlock and latch to lock the door) goes well with the surroundings, and also everything was spotless, so really no reason to complain. We also went for a cooking class, where a family shows how to prepare a curry dish in their home. This was such a nice way to learn more about the local community.
