Nestled in the jungle amidst an enchanted botanical garden, 300m from Playa Grande, Wildlife Lodge Cahuita is the perfect getaway for nature lovers. Fabulous place. Here are Elwira and Marco. When we got there we saw amazing cabins in a wonderful garden. This is a really magic place to stay. Garden with beautiful flowers, medicine herbs and trees. We saw howler monkeys, white faced capuchin monkeys, toucans, green and black poisonous dart frog, butterflys, sloths. Nearby there was a beautiful beach. The Host of this great place, Fernando was very friendly, helpful. He has a great knowledge of nature of this place and all Costa Rica. During our stay Fernando made a chocolate day. He showed us all process of making chocolate, from the roasting cacao beans to the making chocolate bars. It was wonderful experience. Satta Lodge offers you a unique experience in the heart of the Caribbean jungle and 700m from Cocles beach. We had junior suite lodge and we loved stay there. For those who want to relax and get more connected with a nature. Comfortable big bed and comfortable pillows for a good sleep is important for me and i got it there. Nice terrace, professional stuff, incredible atmosphere, nice breakfast i am satisfied.

We loved how private the bungalows were and the beautiful gardens where we saw birds and listened to the howler monkeys. The separate kitchen was great to make additional meals, the coffee maker and fridge in the room was a plus. The location was amazing, though Cahuita is small we were tucked away from the main road but only steps away from the entrance to the park. All around a great stay.

Playa Grande Lodge offers pet-friendly accommodation in Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 16 km from the property. Free WiFi is available throughout. This is a solid choice in Cahuita. Alberto the host is a super friendly stand up guy who comes with homemade breakfast every morning and never hesitated to help out and give good advise. He even called the airline for us to talk to them in Spanish when our bag was lost. The houses are simple but clean and cosy. We saw sloths nearby, hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden and heard the howler monkeys all the time. Close to a nice beach that is good for walks in the mornings and also a great restaurant within walking distance.
