If needed, you can bring your foodstuffs from the small market 2km before the ferry in Kirjais. The isolated island is served by the small FinFerry boat "Chery" on the Nauvo Transverse Route and by the bigger "Falkö" on the Nauvo Southern route. It is quite important to call before 4pm on the previous day! If the schedule doesn't fit, taxi boat can be arranged by the helpful hosts.

Set in a forested area with a garden, Juhlamenot Oy offers self-catering accommodation just 25 km from centres of Helsinki and Porvoo. A sauna and BBQ facilities can also be found on site. We love this place and stay here each time. Beautiful place, cosy cottage, nature and careful hostess. We always appreciated the permission to stay with dog.

He even picked me up from Porvoo bus station when he learned I'm coming by public transport and drove me back there when leaving (the property is a bit outside of the town). This little old fairytale house is one of the coziest and most charming places I have ever stayed at. Besides having everything needed, it significantly added to the overall experience of my trip.
