Diane and her family were incredibly kind and hospitable. They took such great care of us, for example, by arranging a driver to show us around the area (Walhid), locating a national guide to take us to Baalbek (Mr. Johnny), cooking an amazing breakfast (homemade yogurt!), and offering us fresh cherries, apricots, and never-ending cups of coffee and tea. Her daughter Carol, studied in the States and is fluent in English and she often translated for us. This family is precious and they made our stay very rich and memorable.

I arrived early than check in time and was able to leave my bags there to enjoy my day without worries. The room was huge, like a house and I could feel myself at home. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like an angel. The staff was fantastic, friendly and very helpful. The farm, animals and plantation was a plus.

Walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. Chalet is cosy and perfect for a mini getaway. Cot was provided on request and daughter slept great each night. AC in both lounge and bedroom; was able to keep bedroom a/c off and let cool air from lounge filter into the room where daughter slept. Stairway access to resort pool. Balcony gets a great amount of morning sun. Perfect spot to sit and watch the ocean. No room service or servicing but was not needed due to location and room amenities. WiFi and smart TV were an excellent addition, as I was able to connect YouTube and Netflix to entertain toddler during room time.

Graneroverde exceeded our expectations, from the quiet location surrounded by mountains of lush green pine and oak forests, the friendly staff to the generous Lebanese breakfast and the owner who went out of his way to make our stay extra special. The Chalet was very comfortable and clean with a covered terrace open to the beautiful surrounding nature and cool weather. Romanos (the owner) introduced us to Elias (a passionate, expert local guide), who took us further up the Qobayat mountain (1700m) for a three hour hike amongst the Cedar, Juniper and Fir trees, a truly magical place. We would definitely come back to Al Qobayat and stay at Graneroverde. Maybe next time we will come in Autumn to experience the fall colours.
