Although a little outside the centre of Nuwara Eliya (15 mins drive), this is exactly what we wanted. We had some lovely walks to the city and also to Lovers Leap Waterfall. Kushan was the best host we’ve had, he was so kind throughout our stay here. He made us a packed breakfast for our early morning walk to world’s end, which we enjoyed at the top. We then had an amazing dinner in the upstairs of the cabins. He then offered us English or Sri Lankan breakfast and we chose Sri Lankan. It was by far our favourite breakfast of our trip to Sri Lanka. Dhal, sambol and the best roti’s, so tasty! The food although not included within the price was extremely well priced for what we got. The whole stay was incredible value for money. Kushan is a lovely person and I hope as many people as possible get to meet him and stay at La Luna Cabins!!

The management was very kind and helped arrange transportation to and from the train station. The room was just lovely and had an excellent view of the surrounding tea estates. The cooking in the restaurant The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were incredibly delicious. The staff was very accommodating to my requests even beyond normal breakfast or dinner hours. The hotel management helped arrange for me to get to all of the places I wanted to visit including climbing Adam's Peak, seeing Castlereigh Reservoir, Devon, and St. Clair waterfalls. I especially thought Luxman was not only an excellent driver but gave excellent advice about the area and just went out of the way to be a warm and exceptionally kind host (with excellent jokes)! I highly recommend this place and hope to return here again.

The personalized service was beyond expectations. No request went unattended. Butler cum helper Rukshan was so friendly and cooperative. Always with a smile. Always on call. Food preparation was good. Needs some tuning there. They will come of age with some experience. They have their own vegetable plots in the premises. The manager cum part owner kaveesha and his friend akila were super nice and accommodating. They organized excursions to all the waterfalls in the area in a safari jeep. It, of course involved lots of trekking and climbing . The cabana style unit was cozy and ideal for a friend/family get-together. It was a home away from home . Super relaxing atmosphere.waking up to bird sounds was lovely. Cool weather. Feb/ March is the best time to go as it is dry. Rain season will dampen the experience.

Responded to appeals promptly. Property was very clean, and the atmosphere pleasant for a holiday. The bedding and sofas were comfortable, and all necessities attended to. Privacy was ensured. Parking facility for a van was appreciated.

We stayed here for only one night while driving through the mountains on our bike. On our short stay the hosts warmth, generosity and customer service made a lasting impression on us. He let us check in late and had his brother meet us to answer any questions. He also provided us wood to use the fire ♥️ this was so appreciated after driving for days and being very cold in some areas. You will not find a cosier place in nuwara eliya. Being able to make hot drinks with the refreshments provided & heating up our left over takeaway with the microwave was a god send!! We were so tired after driving the host let us check out late by a few hours at no extra cost. The cabin was cosy, warm, fresh and felt really special. We watched a beautiful orange golden sunset from behind the mountain tops while being wrapped up in the fleecy blankets with our hot drinks in the upstairs bedroom. We slept downstairs because of the warming fire, the bed was the comfiest we slept in our 2 months travelling Sri Lanka! Lakshitha the host is a genuine and great man, super laid back and will go miles out of his way for you. We had the pleasure of meeting him briefly on leaving and he was just a straight up cool guy with a quirky place and nothing but the best vibes. We wish you every success.
