Our room had everything we needed: a cozy bed, working AC, and a clean space to relax after traveling. The host even gave us cold drinks and face towels when we arrived. Plus, the peaceful surroundings allowed us to enjoy the soothing sounds of nature, with monkeys occasionally visible nearby.

We did a last minute change to our itinerary with a suggestion by our guide, Vishal. And it turned out to be the best decision we made on this trip. Nature Glow Cottage in Uduwalawa, Sri Lanka is a hidden gem that exceeded all expectations. The first thing that captivated us was the mesmerizing view of the river and lush nature that surrounds the property. Waking up to the serene sounds of the river and the vibrant colors of the flora was truly a surreal experience. The culinary journey at Nature Glow Cottage was equally unforgettable. The delicious local food served here is a gastronomic delight. From traditional Sri Lankan dishes bursting with flavors to fresh, exotic fruits, every meal was a treat for the taste buds. What truly sets this place apart is the over-the-top hospitality of the host, Nalaka and his wife. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for the guests make you feel like you're part of the family. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Nature Glow Cottage is more than just accommodation; it's an immersive experience in the heart of Sri Lanka's natural beauty, culture, and hospitality. I can't recommend it enough to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat with a touch of local charm.

The room was spacious with stunning views, and the on-site dining was a delightful culinary experience. A perfect blend of luxury and nature. We also booked a safari through them which we love, it was just the two of us in the jeep and we saw more elephants with a knowledgeable driver ( sujee ) .Definitely getting old. Drove us to a lunch place and took us back so we don't have to walk in the heat. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Owner showed us many different animals that we never seen before, very interesting experience. The dinner family made was delicious also.
