A boat cruise is also available on the Okavango River, where guides will provide information about a the local birds and wildlife. Fantastic location. good breakfast

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Very comfortable accommodation - lovely tented chalet with own bathroom. We paid extra for dinner - was a very good dinner - food was delicious and breakfast was also very good. The Host was excellent ! The staff were friendly and attended to our requests or issues promptyl. The dining and reception area is beautiful - a wonderful African ambiance looking over the river.

Set on the banks of the Okavango River, Shametu River Lodge offers views of the Popa Falls and is 6.5 km from Divundu. Free private parking is available on site.

Certain units feature a river-front setting, offering views. The accommodation is equipped with a seating area. There is a private bathroom with a shower in every unit. Towels are provided. This was our third visit to Shametu and it did not disappoint! We have camped before in the fantastic campsites but this time opted for a tented chalet on the river. Beautiful spacious accommodation with the HUGE bonus of zircon. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was very good. Great choice of wines too! We took one of our breakfasts on the river at a small extra charge. Well worth it! Tranquil with sightings of hippo, crocodile and a myriad of birds all pointed out to us by our excellent guide.

Mashi Conservancy is 6.3 km from the lodge, while Kwandu Conservancy is 37 km away. The nearest airport is Katima Mulilo (Mpacha), 119 km from Gondwana Namushasha River Lodge, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. An excellent hotel with polite and helpful staff. Especially I want to mention Rector who was an excellent driver. We had three game drives with him and were the best we had so far. We saw wild dogs in action which is rare, a leopard etc. I want to thank him for everything. The room was big and very clean as was all the premises of the hotel. Both breakfast and dinner very fresh, good and tasty. There was parking in the premises. The swimming pool was very good.
