Shuttles services to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing can be booked at the lodge. Staff were super friendly and upgraded us to a bigger room, helped us to get the shuttle organized and lots of other things. highly recommended

Guests have access to BBQ facilities, large viewing decks around the lodge and luggage storage. There is also a laundry service. Both the guest lounge and the conservatory have a warming fireplace.

The River Lodge staff can help guests organise local activities such as trout fishing guides, summer walks and organise transport such as snow shuttles during winter and volcanic flights. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast/dining room had a real chalet feel. The location is idyllic and only a short drive to Ohakune. The wood burner was lovely to have in the room as well.

Fantastic little house in a row of 4, close to the walks with a great little Cafe just around the corner. Really well supplied kitchen with appliances, cookware etc. Good sized bedrooms. Cute little outside area. Host is fabulous to deal with. House was spotless, probably the cleanest private house I've stayed at. We travelled at Christmas, so Ohakune in general was very relaxed and quiet.

The property was exceptional! It was clean and well stocked for all cooking needs. The chalet was comfortable and tidy, we will most certainly be staying here again very soon!

There is a seating area, 2 dining areas and a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine. Towels and bed linen are featured in this holiday home. Other facilities at Ruapehu Log Lodge include a billiards table and five-seater spa situated undercover on the deck with views of the mountain. Incredible house! Loved the pool table, board games, hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, piano -- wish we could've stayed longer. Having the wood stove burning for us when we arrived was a nice touch.

Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, skiing and billiards. Unbeknown to the host our Whanau live directly across the road so to find this gem was perfect will definitely come back

Breakfast was amazing! A great spread in the living room with other guests. Marie and Bernie went out of their way to accomodate us, helping us out when we couldn’t get dinner in the town over Easter weekend.
