The hosts - Emanuel and Maricela, the kids and the parrot Antonia 🙂, are the best possible hosts. Always smiling, helpful, paying attention to every small detail. Emanuel cooked for us and the food was fresh from their farm. He also organized all our tours in the jungle. The huts at the river are very cute, with terraces, bathrooms, comfortable beds from which you have a direct view to the river day and night. Every day the hosts were cleaning. It was unbelievable. I only had one day there and they planned everything around what was available in my time at the resort. I used their airport transfer and it was about 20 minutes away. I had a chance to shower and then lunch was ready. I explored the property and checked out the yoga area and did some meditation on my own, then my first activity was ink painting with an indigenous artist. I did not brush up on any of my spanish so I ended up using Google Translate but the information was so interesting and the artist and I worked on a piece together, then she painted my face with the same design. It was such a great experience. Dinner was served a few hours later and then I just hung out with the property gatos and just took in the beauty of being in the Amazon. The next morning I had a flower bath and it was so rejuvenating and lovely. Definitely one of the top 3 activities my whole time in Peru! Just outstanding. I would return in a heartbeat!

We looked at several other lodges but picked this one for it's more modern amenities. This is an all inclusive lodge. Rooms are screened in (not all lodges are) with 5500 acres to themselves. The cost includes daily excursions around the many trails that they created for the guests leisure. The trails take you in to the depth of the jungle while experiencing the beauty that it offers - monkeys, birds, tarantulas, snakes etc. Guilds were extremely knowledgeable and kind. always on the lookout for things to see. Things to consider - bug spray - the local ones work better than the US ones that we brought. Clothing - while hiking - long airy pants and quick dry long (or short) shirts will make your hike more enjoyable. I brought 2 but I wish I had 4-5. Best room is called "Tarzan". We stayed in "Tucan" which was OK but close to other visitors. Hard to describe but you can hear anyone in proximity to your room since it is all screened in. Staff was SUPER hard working. They were on their feet from 4 am to 10 pm daily. I have to tip my hand to these folks, simply incredible! 10 thumbs up for the staff

Wasai Lodge completely exceeded our expectations on every level. The staff were so kind and friendly, the rooms were fabulous right on the river with very comfortable beds. Food was amazing with a huge amount of variety. Our guide, Efrain, was so knowledgeable, engaging, funny and made our trip even more fantastic - he was born to be an Amazon tour guide!! Clem who runs the lodge was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay and was always on hand to answer questions. We felt very safe during our stay. This is an amazing lodge and would highly recommend it!

The staff are so friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make us comfortable. The setting is beautiful and the pool is a great feature. The bed was comfy and the area super peaceful. The ideal place to relax. In addition, they have a baby monkey they rescued who is amazing! So playful and friendly - an unexpected highlight!
