You will immediately fell in love with the guest house and your hosts staff: Bavo's breakfasts and food is just divine, all organic and all homemade, from the honey, to the cheese, bread, jam! Rooms and toilets are big and very clean. The view from the attic is amazing, pick that one if available! There plenty of things you can do in Gomk, number of hikes, horseback rides, or just relax on the hammock in the garden reading a book. Plenty of heritage sites to visit in the nearby and divine wineries (check out Trinity Canyon). The owners are amazing in organizing day trips, transfers and everything you may need. Local villagers and members of the staff are always super helpful in every situation. Don't be too surprised if you will end up extending your stay as I did.

Best sleep I had for ages!! In the night we didn’t hear any sounds but the occasional cow or dog. Real weird experience, I could hear my ears buzzing!!! Food: I think it’s the first time I ate real honey! OMG I don’t know how will I eat industrial “honey” again. The girls procure all food ingredients from the village and a local cook prepares the meals. Loads of fruits and vegetables. Even the butter is made by their neighbors. Tomatoes taste like tomatoes!!!! Room: we stayed in the double room which is cute with a high wooden ceiling. I found the bathroom a little small but it is new with hot water and spot clean.
