While a pleasant town, it clearly needs some better care and infrastructures. It is disheartening to see some public and many private properties crumbling. Communication is a challenge, to say the least. You are lucky if you find one, anyone, who can speak some English. The best part of the town is its people; warm and inviting, despite the lack of communication. One never feels threatened or in lack of security, no matter where one might be across town.

San Juan is a small city but is fine for a short visit and is easy to drive around. The cathedral bell tower (Campanile) gives a nice view over the city centre, but you must buy the ticket at the Teatro Municipal on the main square first. GOOD BUS SERVICE NEED A BUS CARD AVAILABLE ONLY AT STALLS IN THE CENTER AND AT TERMINAL. SAN JUAN IS THE CENTER OF TRANSPORT FOR VISITING OTHER MORE INTERESTING PLACES--BARREAL NEAR THE ANDES, ISCHIGULASTO DINOSAUIR PARK, VALLE FERTIL, QUILMES RUINS, BELEN (AN INDIGENOUS TOWN), SAN JOSE JACHAL (NATURE TOURISM).RonaldAustralia

Their place is in the city center, it’s quiet, clean, comfortable, very fast stabile internet. The parking is practical, the garden very nice, spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, everything you need. We spent only one night there on the way to the next destination, but it was a perfect stop.
