Beautiful place to visit with lots of nature options.
Beautiful place to visit with lots of nature options. You can do lots of cycling or hiking depending on preference. The river danube flows right through and offers possibilities of river cruises as well.. our stay was just an overnight stay and hence havent explored the area too much. But, we will be back to this region for more..!!!

Possibility to store bikes. Fridge in the room. Very spacious room. Friendly and approachable staff. Rich breakfast. As bikers, we welcomed the printed information materials at the reception. Danube ferry very close. Engelhartszell can be recommended as a starting point for bicycle tours and the Hotel Goldenes Schiff is a very good "base camp" for them.

Being close to quite a busy road it was noisy but it was ok. The hotel is rustic and the lady owner is very very friendly. Breakfast is above many others we have had so far. Schärding is 33 km away and it is worth visiting and dining. We strongly recommend this place.

The room was warm enough in the cold winter and the view through the windows was astonishing. It was a pets-friendly hotel. The cleaning lady and the chef were very very nice and kind to us and our cats! Thank you!
