I don't know how to describe how wonderful this hotel was. The welcoming feeling was like walking in to your best friend's house for a short stay. The owners were helpful with all of our questions and directed our traveling partners to the best sites to see in Kuchl. I won't reveal the special little touches generously provided by the owners. The breakfast was outstanding. We spent the month of September traveling in Austria and northern Italy staying in many different hotels so you notice the little things in the design of the room that you wish were in each hotel room. The thoughtful design of the room checked off everything on my list of items I like in a hotel room.

This is a small, but modern (albeit with mostly traditional architecture) village in the Salzach River valley south of Salzburg. It is a quiet friendly place, not appropriate for big-time skiing, but great for walks and hikes in te surrounding country-side.

Kuchl is a lovely austrian countryside in the midst of Alps foothills. 30 mins south of salzburg and 10 mins from hallein. You are surrounded by snowy hilltops and lots of pine trees. This town is away from all the tourist crowd and noise.

We stayed there three times already :) We always have a great rest there and never get bored. There is a lot of activities, you can go hiking (which we prefer :)), cycling, walking, swimming in a beautiful lake 5 minutes walk from the hotel and many more. There is a great family atmosphere which we love ❤️ Rooms are comfortable and perfectly clean. Breakfasts are really exceptional! A lot of possibilities and everything is very tasty 😋

It is a family busines, the staff is very nice, the hotel itself is extremely cozy, breakfast is very delicious. One can definitely feel like at home there. The hotel has a lawn with a playground to take a rest after a day trip. There are a lot of scenic places around to visit. Basically everything about the hotel is exceptionally great.

Fantastic scheme of Tennengau card supplied by hotel gave us free travel on the train into Salzburg and the train station is 3 mins walk away !

It is quite simply the best 'B&B' I have ever stayed in. The location and scenery are spectacular. The breakfasts were excellent (table service, no buffet!). The hosts were very welcoming. There is even an ice machine in the foyer! I can't rate this hotel highly enough.
