Everything. One couldn't ask for a better hotel. It's been a few days since we checked out - and it remains to be one of the best hotels I have had the privilege to experience.
This 4-star superior hotel, 3 km from Kössen, offers a 3,000 m² spa area with an indoor and an outdoor pool, a tennis court, free Wi-Fi, and 2 restaurant.

There was a lot to like at this hotel. We had a nice spacy junior suite. I could not name something special, without mentioning everything. It was a great room. Diner was a buffet, but the food was very good, lots to choose and really wonderful value for money. You get a parking spot in the cellar, quite nice in winter. Great sauna, wellnes, big size fitness and swimming pool. I loved the combined ski-area Winklmoosalm/ Steinplatte for which you drive 15 minutes to Germany.
Just 500 metres from the ski lifts, the Wildauerhof is a 20-minute walk from Lake Walchsee and Walchsee village. It offers an indoor pool, free bicycle hire, free WiFi, and a balcony in all rooms.

Good location. It's quiet enough, has a great view to the mountains. Very close to the lake (one can ride a bike to and from easily).
Breakfast was just the very basic. There's some room for improvement there.
Dinner was great. Very tasty food.
The pool and playground are way above average. Kids absolutely loved them.
We borrowed bikes from the hotel. They're standard city bikes, but they're pretty new and in good condition.
Good variety of choices for breakfast. Don't forget the dinner, it is a must-have, especially the grilled trout.
The room is spacious, nice and clean, and the hotel has sauna and spa on the top floor.
We had a very pleasant ski vacation there, and I believe it would be also a wonderful experience in summer.
Lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable. The surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful and very quiet. I'd definitely love to go back. And Schwendt is a postcard village.
