Breakfast marvellous, home made raisin bread the best, beautiful fresh fruit and cereals. Was given muffins to take with us each day for M/T. Great hosts. Nothing was a problem for them. Just what we needed a great break away. Good location, so easy to get to and other places in the Huon.

Jo went above and beyond to make our stay so fantastic. We booked quite late so Jo met us at the cottage with bags and bags of food. The fire was on and the place was toasty. Met the sheep and the local wildlife. Best sleep ever! Highly recommend!

Castle Forbes Bay is located between Franklin (5 min drive) and Port Huon (3 min drive) on the Huon River. It is quiet and with fruit orchards at every second property. It is only a 40 min drive to Hobart and 30mins to Cygnet. It is a great spot to explore the Huon Valley.

A very well placed site allowing for day trips to all of the east coast, south coast. Tuhane Adventures was a great day out. A visit to Snug falls is worth the walk. Hastings cave is only a half day trip, but quite an experience. Eating at the Kermadie hotel was well worth the short drive from Donalea B&B

The scenery in this area is stunning.

The scenery in this area is stunning. The first night we were there , we went out to the local pub for dinner and were pleasantly surprised that the pub offered half size meals; this is a great idea for us oldies who have trouble getting through large serves. During the second day we visited relatives and ate out for lunch and decided to stay in that evening. The hosts provide complimentary snacks including "cup of soup", biscuits and fruit which we availed ourselves to for our evening meal.
