Abermain Hotel, hotel in Kurri Kurri

The Abermain Hotel is located in the Hunter Valley wine region of New South Wales. The property is a 45-minute drive from Newcastle and a 2-hour drive from Sydney.

Great old pub that has been updated. Good rooms, aircon, TV, kitchen area and breakfast cafe downstairs. Make sure you stay here and not the Kearsley Hotel as that place is disgusting. We had to leave and luckily found this place which really nice.

Decent country town, friendly people, selection of supermarkets and fast food outlets. It struck me as being a very clean town that was also proud of its history. Yes, I quite enjoyed it for its simplicity!

Excellent place to stop overnight on a long road trip from Qld to Jindabyne. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. The Hotel next door was a great spot to chill for the night, have a drink and something to eat. We loved learning about the history of the town and looking at all the old photos in the hotel. Will stay here again definitely.

Not too far from the main part of town although I recommend having a vehicle as it's a bit of a walk uphill to get to the main part of Kurri Kurri. Close to Maccas and a servo if you want a short walk in the other direction.

Basic room, nice and clean, suited us for what we travelled to Kurri Kurri for. I appreciate having a toaster, plates and cutlery - having our own breakfast in the room on both days suited us really well.
