Hotel is in a great location across from the main beach, and has stunning views from all the rooms. It's easy to get everywhere on the free shuttle buses. It's fun to hire a buggy but it's not really necessary unless you're staying somewhere that's not on the shuttle route. The hotel pool was nice and large although a bit boring. The resort pool a short walk away was more interesting with a swim up bar, right next to the beach, live music sometimes. There's lots to do on Hamilton island which was brilliant. We went jetskiing and hiked up to Passage Peak (lovely views up there and it's only a one hour hike from the hotel). We went to One Tree Hill bar for sunset - that's a gorgeous spot and the caprioskas are good! The room itself is tired but it was clean. There were 4 of us and it was really spacious. The balcony overlooking the sea was pleasant and there was usually a parrot perched on the rail to keep us company.

As soon as we stepped off the boat we were given a mock tail and greeted by the most friendliest staff. All of the staff were absolutely amazing and lovely. Couldn’t fault a thing. The food was exquisite, absolutely delicious and the cocktails, loved the Pina Colada. It was so relaxing and the room was amazing. Just remember shut your door because the cockatoos managed to get in next doors and destroy all their bread. I loved the peace and that we could just lie in the hammock at the cabin or laze around by the pool. Was so amazing.

Absolutely loved our 4 day stay.

Absolutely loved our 4 day stay. The Elysian staff go above and beyond to cater to a very high standard the comfort of their guests. Thank you Chefs the food was fresh and creative and the bubbly Jane our server made me laugh so much. They happily did options for different dietary requirements as long as requested at booking. We both did the Yogo each morning with the lovely Rhianna, such a calming start to the day. We lazed around on the many hammocks, and sipped the complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks. The infinity pool was lovely but we would have liked it to have been heated for guests in the off season it was just to cold for us.

Best thing about this resort is it's small size and friendly staff. Not crowded with plenty of options for chilling beside beach or pool. Very comfortable room. Great cocktails and sunset bar a nice place for pre-dinner drinks, or just sit on your balcony and enjoy the view. Restaurant serves pub style food, which is pretty good Lunch options could definitely be improved. Contrary to web site there is no lighter lunch options from shop and restaurant does not offer salads, wraps, sandwiches etc. for lunch

    · This is a fantastic resort.

    · This is a fantastic resort. It’s had a huge amount of money spent on it and it offers very luxurious accommodation. We had a two bed two floored house with amazing views. It was spacious , comfortable and we loved cooking on the BBQ on the balcony every night. It’s self catering accommodation and we brought our shopping in for our two night stay. I’m told it can be brought in for you and there is a small shop on site. The pool is lovely and so is the bar area. There are kayaks and snorkels to hire and the beach is safe and sandy. It’s a 20 minute shuttle from Shute Harbour and the easiest of the islands to get to. There is a small pizza/ pasta restaurant on site which we didn’t try as we’d brought plenty of food with us. Well worth the money .

My daughter and I recently spent a week at Palm Bay Resort on Long Island and loved everything about the resort - the natural scenery and wildlife, the laid back style of the bures and sunset pavilion right on the beach and leisurely meals at Curlews restaurant. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and accommodating. We also spent some time on beautiful Hamilton Island but my heart is at Long Island.

We loved the hotel, the room, and the friendly staff. Kate offered exceptional service during our stay. We recommend staying for at least 3 nights as there are plenty of things to do on the island. The spa, especially the massage and facial treatment with Adeline, exceeded our expectations. Prices are fair for food and drinks. The curlews seem to live their best lives on the island :) We'll be back

The hotel is nested in really beautiful surroundings. Even for those not wanting to leave Long Island, there are activities hikes, games, and snorkelling. The staff was extremely friendly and happy to assist with booking activities around the other islands. The room was a good size, very clean, and a good size balcony with a hammock where we spent a lot of time watching the sunset ♡.

Nice bungalow hotel perfectly situated at Palm Bay. Has a nice bar to view sunsets at the beach and offers delicious food. We came with our own boat (which we hired at Airlie Beach) and could use one of their small boat mooring buoy in the bay.

Stunning place, embedded in nature but with all the comforts of home. Loved the nature walks close by. Staff were all wonderful. All the spaces were all very open and airy too — well ventilated for travelers concerned with clean air.

Palm Bay feels like being a world away - the perfect place to relax. The resort was fully booked throughout our stay yet didn’t ever feel busy or crowded. We stayed in the hibiscus suite and loved the view, space and privacy.
