Very well planned and executed, thoughtful and generous consideration for guests, quality finish, friendly, clean and hospitable. Location was great- a little out of town which helps with its character. Great escape and peaceful environment. Highly recommended.

This was an awesome spot to stay, hidden inside a beautiful bush setting only about 5 minutes from the main part of Nambucca Heads. Clean and cosy with quite a large bathroom, the hosts were lovely and easy to communicate with. Clear self check in instructions were provided and I was able to have my dog stay too, would happily stay again :)

From the immediate local 'tourist' attractions; beautiful little township on the gorgeous Nambucca River with much to see; (beyond the immediate environmental surrounds, the Mary Boulton Pioneer Cottage & Museum is worth a visit locally), &/or for proximate other worthwhile attractions commanding greater accommodation expenses (eg. Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour, Scotts Head, South West Rocks...)
Great place to stay, awesome service & well recommended!

Loved Macksville, it's a very quiet town of 7000 people that's very friendly where people talk to one another. We stayed at Macksville as it was the centre for us to travel to other areas, from Coff's Harbour to Kempsey and all the areas in between. As the motel served breakfast we would eat at the Star Hotel in River Street where the atmosphere is very friendly and the serving portions are extra large. Noticed a lot of people use Macksville as a stop off point for a day or two for rests from driving long distances. This is a place I would stop off again as we didn't get to see the whole of the area around Macksville.

This was a good place for us to stop over for one night, while travelling to our holiday destination.
Not too over priced during peak time.
Didn't get to appreciate the surrounding, other than the local club for a meal. Friendly relaxing place.

Macksville is a small town with good facilities and is close to Nambacca and Coffs without the expense. If you love fishing and boating it is an ideal cost effective area to base yourself in while you explore the rest of the general area.

Macksville is a very nice town with lots of appeal.
Macksville is a very nice town with lots of appeal. It has beautiful rural views and everything you need for a perfect getaway. I’m considering buying an investment property in the new housing development at Macksville. Great food at Macksville Services Club too! Also nice coffee shops, golf course and beautiful waterways. Thanks for your hospitality Macksville!
it’s not often you walk in a hotel and you know it was looked after with love. but Mandarin was just one of these places where despite it being probably almost 20 years old, you can just tell the owners really cared for it and looked after it. it felt comfortable and nice and it brings joy to our family to just stay there, and I promise you I don’t say this easily!
Great location; good view of river (from cabin 1)
Close to town but not disturbed by town; very quiet
Well equipped, if a little dated, cabin
Very clean and comfortable
Will definitely come again when working in Macksville area again
We liked the closeness of the river. Right across the road! Great walking and bike track also. The staff were amazing. So helpful. Great for a weekend stay. Macksville and Nambucca are a short drive away
A basic but very clean hotel in an ideal location for travellers splitting the drive between Sydney and Brisbane. There is also an EV charger on site if you require one.
It was nice & clean also very quiet & close to Macksville Hospital which was really good as that's why we were their. Very easy to find & I would stay their again 🙂
