Loved the apartments and the facilities in it. The kitchen was stocked well with utensils, saucepans etc. The balcony and fireplace were lovely. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had all the necessary additions for staying in the snow. It had a cupboard that was heated to dry your ski clothes in, heated ski locker located downstairs to store your equipment in. Plus a large bathroom with shower and spa bath were amazing. This is located really well in Central Hotham. Only a 3 minute walk to Hoys ski hire, convience store is located across the road as well as cafes, bars and restaurants. There is day parking about 300 metres in front of the apartment where you can stop and unload your luggage, call the apartments and they will arrange the transfer of your luggage via snow mobile with a trailer, so you don't have to walk it up in the snow. The staff member, Michaela that we spoke to was so lovely and helpful.
The Skiing options are the best available given the weather.
The Skiing options are the best available given the weather.
The dining options are limited….most venues have minimal vegetarian options.
Bring your own food and ensure your accom caters for that.
All the staff are very friendly. The slope grooming is phenomenal….so when the season seems slightly dubious wrt the offerings, Hotham is the best option in Victoria.

The location of the property was very convenient for us as we have enrolled our kids for the ski lessons and this property is right next to the Big D lifts. Also we really loved the vibe (access via The General Restaurant) and the views from the balcony / bed room. The rooms were clean, fully functional kitchen, excellent views of the mountains from the balcony and one of bed room (out of two) and a working wifi, Netflix / Disney plus availability was an added advantage. We will definitely recommend this place.

Our accommodation was perfect for families with small children. It was accessible to everything. There probably wasn't as much snow as we would have liked but understand it's a seasonal luck of the draw thing. We ate at home and at the pub.

I loved the scenery/views from the mountain and the accommodation was comfortable and relaxing. I especially appreciated the heater and king bed, with the spa bath a nice addition (even if a little narrow). The only thing missing from the apartment was shampoo (just as well I had my own). The entry door to the building does not open easily and should be adjusted for smoother operation. Service-wise, staff were friendly and accommodating, providing room service and engaging in chat. I do think the administrators of Mountain Dreaming need to consider installing better signage and even stronger lighting that can at least partially cut through fog in order to make it easier for guests to locate the property in bad weather; inclement conditions are common in alpine areas after all. Score: 8/10

Excellent resort!
Excellent resort! Good facilities and staff, plenty of areas to suit all levels of skiing, but best for intermediate and above.
Nice places to eat out for dinner and small cafes around the mountain while out skiing.
Easy to get around the village either walking or driving, with plenty of parking.

This place is amazing but the town , as with most ski resorts in Australia, is not set up to cater for summer guests. I think this is crazy as there were literally hundreds of people coming through...looking for a nice cafe etc...One day, my hope is that snow resorts will realise that summer is a good time to attract and cater for people....come on ...show some real initiative please!
Apartment was modern and well laid out. The Arlberg is an old building but the apartment was recently renovated and really nice.
Cheap pizzas from the Arlberg - can eat there or get takeaway. Ski hire, cafe, cheap eats all without having to leave the building - really convenient.

Nice big fridge/freezer unit
Spectacular view of Mount Buffalo to the west, and of the Mount Hotham summit.
The location is fantastic and it happens to be the only hotel running during summer time. The food is pretty good and the staffs are nice as well. I believe this is a great place to stay during the snow season.
Only location was best. Unfortunately there wasn't any pouch/sachet of coffee, tea, milk or sugar there which we havn't seen anywhere in life i e cottage, holiday apartment hotel or even in caravan.
The amazing view from our room, the friendly helpful staff, the cosy amiable atmosphere of the General Hotel. I just love Mount Hotham, the clean air, feeling of getting right away from it all.
Spectacular views of mountains, snowgum and a beautiful sunset on a cool summers evening. Large spacious apartment with all facilities. Comfortable lounge. Attacted to hotel.
