Jacobs Creek Retreat - Barossa Valley, hotel in Springton

Situated in the heart of the famous Barossa Valley, Jacobs Creek Retreat is an exclusive property offering boutique vineyard accommodation and organic wines.

Beautiful buildings and surrounding gardens. Rooms were beautifully decorated and I keeping with the aesthetic of the buildings. Nice location - but down a long dirt road. So would not be ideal for little hire car.

Springton is a charming little village with a lot of character. It's worth going to to see the Herbig family tree alone. It is VERY quiet which is great if you want to get away from it all - it's only a short drive to wineries and towns with cafes, shops etc. There was not much to do but relax at our accommodation which suited us. At the time of our visit the pub was closed and for sale, as was what looked like a cafe - it would be nice to walk to get a coffee or a meal. If the pub and cafe were to reopen, this little town would be perfect in my view!

This is an exceptional property with magnificent lawns, surrounded by large established European trees and garden beds. A destination in itself to reset and enjoy this peaceful estate, including walks within the vineyard that will give a vista of the whole district.
