The road trip from Marree to William Creek was amazing, with so much history of The Old Ghan Railway along the way. We were however, really disappointed when we got to William Creek. It was so busy and there was no personalised service when booking in. The room was basic, but clean and would have been ok for one night ... not the two that we stayed. It was roomy and the bed comfortable. We ate breakfast and both evening meals at the hotel, which is the only place in town anyway and they were quite ok considering we were in the middle of the desert. All the water is salt so showering is like showering in the sea.
