Not a place for younger generations seeking for fun.
Not a place for younger generations seeking for fun. The city is pretty quiet and doesn't offer much. The food is good, beaches overly crowded. Not my favorite place unfortunately and I wouldn't go back.

Neum is a picturesque Adriatic town built into the steep surrounding hillside. That means ups are WAAAY UP and downs are WAAAY DOWN. Parking is challenging but some public lots are available. It seems that almost all hotels have some parking for guests. Be prepared to walk (remember the ups and downs). Typical hot days on the beach and cool evenings once the sun goes down. We were traveling with 4 adults and 3 young children(5,3,1). We brought a fold-up wagon for transport of umbrellas, beach chairs, towels and toys—it was indispensable. You can rent umbrellas and chaise lounges at Hotel Zenit beach (where we were). The beach is rocky, no sand and it is small. We were there Sept. 5-12, and it was still fairly crowded. The paddle boats and kayaks were 20km/hour. The 1/2 submarine ride was 15km/adult, 10km/child. Jet skis are 100km/30 minutes or 50km/10 minutes. Restaurants are OK—the best gelato is at Hotel Vapore, outside on the boardwalk. Galeb restaurant was great and Marinero had speedy delivery with great pizza and čevapi.

Neum is the single seaside town of Bosnia-Herzegovina that has a long pomerade with beaches, markets, restaurants, bars, ice cream and streetfood kiosks along the coastline. You can go to a boat cruise, a semi-submarine cruise and even a jetski ride!
In the centre parties are likely each night. If you are visiting from the former eastern block and remember the 90s, this place will most likely bring back some memories from that era, with a modern cover page.
The country is still catching up economically, therefore a higher percentage of the cars are older - VW Golf II is still very-very popular.
Don’t be surprised that smoking is still very common, even in the restaurants any any other public places.
Keep in mind that Bosnia is still a cash economy, it is suggested to ask in prior if you can pay by card. Larger shops and the petrol stations are usually accepting card payments. Euro is accepted in most tourist destinations.

It is a quaint little town with Only a few beaches to spend the days on. The main complaint would be the lack of publicly available space for towels and personal sunbeds because most of the beaches Are privately-owned, making it less suitable for some people.

We were travelling and used Neum just as transit for one night break. What I saw in this short period wouldnt make me to come again. I mean appartment and people were ok but the beach too crowded and the whole town is full of discarded rubbish so I didnt feel good here.
The apartment is perfectly located above the Neum police station and right next to a big parking lot (free of charge off season). Not much is open at the moment, but it is 5min walk to the terrace of Vapore hotel for a coffee in the sun and 5min to Laguna restaurant for dinner! the apartment can easily fit 5 persons, and is equipped with a kitchen, washing machine and AC. Spacey living room, lots of storage space. We arrived late in the evening, but had no issues with picking up the key. Lovely neighbours:)
The apartment is fantastic, modern, clean and spacious. The host was very nice. The location is good- on the same street as the Post Office. It takes you about 10 minutes to the beach, but that is just how Neum is. You have stores, restaurants and bars within walking distance and it is a nice and quiet neighborhood. The giant terrace made the stay even more enjoyable. We enjoyed our short stay and would definitely stay again.
Everything is exceptional! The owner is a soulful man who takes maximum care of his customers. The rooms are newly arranged with great taste, with attention to all the details. Everything is absolutely new, from the furniture to the cutlery! We will definitely recommend this place and we will come back with love. Perfect for visiting the entire Bosnian and Croatian coastline.
Excellent hotel. We stayed in low season, so enjoyed peace & quiet, also at the rooftop pool area (wonderful!). We got beautiful, comfortable room with an amazing view. The staff was very kind and accommodating, the lady at the reception was just lovely & she took great care of us. We were very happy we had chosen this hotel for our short stay in Neum, it was perfect!
Location with amazing sea view room - really great! Good breakfast.
Amazing restaurant with super friendly staff and very good food!
Good parking - outdoor and garage.
I forgot my swimming suite in the hotel - and staff sent it by post, it was super good from their side to solve this problem.
The staff, villa and private beachfront are as good as it gets in Neum! The neighborhood is quiet and nice and there is no turbo folk music to be heard anywhere. The price is a tad bit higher but it's for a good reason, everything in the villa is literally brand new.
I've got a whole room with an adjacent balcony with a nice view on Neum and the Croatian islands. The building was not super modern but well taken care of and clean.
Despite language barriers the contact to the staff was welcoming and very friendly.
The apartment owner is very nice and friendly. 😊The apartment is very good and clean and has a great sea view. The location is very close to the city center and is about 10-minutes walk from Neum bus station and from the apartment to the beach.
The location was on the water with plenty of dining options around the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the balcony provided a nice view of the water. The hotel's restaurants had a good menu and the gelato/ dessert store was excellent.
Awesome choice for someone looking to spend some time at the Adriatic beach without huge crowds that normally hit these areas during the busy vacation season. A bit of a drive out of Neum, but definitely worth it. Owners are great.
The best hotel in Neum. Porat is the best. No better hotel in Neum. The friendliest people that you will ever find. I love them. Owner, greet guy, very frriendly, waiter Salko, something spaecial, the best waither in the world.
Restaurant, in-house supermarket and great view at Neum bay. Awesome place to stay, staff is very friendly and responds to all your questions asap, the place itself is very clean and comfy. I'll come back here definitely.
Location is good if travelling with the car, comfortable parking next to the villa. There is air-conditioning, very lovely terraces with a view, comfortable room for staying in Neum.
