What can I say? This is one of the best Bed and Breakfasts we´ve ever been to! Starting with the kindness of the owner (due to a snowstorm we arrived a day late, for which she showed absolute flexibility), followed by a warm welcome, the spotlessly clean, stylish and cosy rooms, and a wonderful breakfast in the mornings. Laarne was perfectly situated for our family visits in Gent, without having to deal with the parking -and traffic issues of the city. A pity we didn´t have the time to explore the castle and the surroundings, but we already look forward to coming back!

Small town, nicely maintained with a long flowered driveway straight into the historic Castle. Numbered cycle ways allow easy trips in all directions - ok for beginners to pro's. Sit and drink outside at "the Wastobbe" - they serve their own beer in stone beakers.
Location is beautiful. Main house and outdoor spa area look beautiful. Laarne is just outside Ghent. Both quaint places. Staff in local brasserie and bakery were very friendly.
