Etropole is just an expected lovely surprise!
Etropole is just an expected lovely surprise! The city itself is not too big but the surrounding are beautiful. We found an amazing track (called The echo of a bell ringing) to the St. Trinity monastery which was absolutely gorgeous. Nearby there is a waterfall and an amazing view to Stara Planina (the Balkan Mountains). For the adventure lovers, there is a horse riding arena on the outskirts of Etropole.ВВикторияBulgaria - 10Scored 10

Etropole has a very beautiful setting with forested mountains all around. The drive to get there is very scenic through magnificent countryside, forests, and twisty mountain roads. There is a T-market and a lot of other small shops, cafes, and restaurants. The market place comes alive on a Sunday, and there is an orthodox church next to the market square. One can walk around the side streets in perfect safety to enjoy it all.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

A small town in the mountain with a rich cultural history. There is a lot to see and do there. I recommend the monastery and the waterfall next to it.....as well as going on a Eco walk to see the city from above.

Nice small village, traditional houses, history museum, surrounded by a lot of green . Restaurants, hotels, eco path & monastery very close. You can ride a horse at the Podkovata hotel , 5 min outside the village.
